Mr. Martin “Marty” S. Triche has been serving as Police Juror of Ward 5 since 1992. He was selected by his fellow jurors as President of the Police Jury in 1993 and is still holding that title today. As Police Jury President, Marty is responsible for overall operations and activities of all departments of the Assumption Parish Police Jury. These duties include the preparation and administration of Parish services, programs, and projects as approved by the Jury. Also included in his responsibilities as President, Mr. Triche serves on all executive committees of the jury. The committees consist of Drainage, Finance, Insurance, Recreation, Engineering, Road & Bridge, Solid Waste, Personnel, Federal Programs, and Emergency Preparedness. The function of each committee is to advise and recommend actions to the full Jury for consideration. Marty presently serves as Chairman on the Finance and Emergency Preparedness Committees. In addition to his duties with the Police Jury, Mr. Triche is a full-time attorney who owns and operates his own business, Triche & Associates, in Napoleonville. Mr. Patrick Lawless represents the residents of Ward 1 in Assumption Parish. Mr. Lawless began his term as Police Juror of Ward 1 in January of 2004. He presently serves as Chairman of the Federal Programs Committee and sits on the Insurance, Finance, Engineering and Emergency Preparedness Committees. He is employed by Jacobs Field Services. Mr. Henry Dupre has been serving as Police Juror of Ward 7 since 1996. He serves as Chairman of the Drainage and Insurance Committees.
